Privacy

Privacy policy.

Short and honest: we collect no personal data, use no cookies and do not track you. This site exists to inform about the project — not to gather data about its visitors.

In short

  • Zero cookies. We store nothing in your browser.
  • Zero personal data. No accounts, forms or logins.
  • Analytics without tracking. Anonymous, aggregate, no profiling.
  • No third parties. Fonts and assets from our own server.

01Who the controller is

The controller of the website and of any technical data is:

Tomasz Fiedoruk — business: MAGNET MEDIC Tomasz Fiedoruk
ul. Dworcowa 19, 78-550 Czaplinek, Poland · Tax ID (NIP) 2530148533
Contact: fiedoruk.pl · e-mail (enable JavaScript)

02What we don't do

  • We run no user accounts; there is no login or registration.
  • We have no data-collecting forms — the only contact is an e-mail link that opens your mail program.
  • We use no cookies or similar tracking technologies.
  • We show no ads, do no profiling and build no behavioural profiles.
  • We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing.

03Visit analytics

To know how many people visit the site and which content is useful, we use Plausible Analytics — a tool designed with privacy in mind:

  • No cookies and no persistent identifiers in your browser.
  • It collects only aggregate, anonymous statistics (page views, country, device type, referral source) — they cannot identify anyone.
  • It does not track you across sites and builds no profile.
  • The analytics server is ours (a self-hosted solution), so the data does not go to an external corporation.

Because Plausible stores no cookies or personal data, we display no "cookie banner" — there is nothing to consent to.

04Requests to external services

We wanted the site not to "leak" your IP address to many companies. That is why we serve fonts and graphics from our own server — there are no connections to CDNs such as Google Fonts. One exception remains, which we disclose honestly:

Exception · external request

Weather on the home page. The "sensor preview" panel fetches current weather over the lake from the free Open-Meteo API. When your browser makes that request, Open-Meteo — like any server receiving a request — technically sees your IP address and the fixed coordinates of the lake (not your location). We pass them no personal data. The request is made only on the home page.

05Server logs

Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (including IP address, date and time of the request, browser type) for the operation and security of the site. This is a typical and necessary technical operation — we do not use these logs for profiling or marketing, and access to them is restricted.

06Links to other sites

The site contains links to external pages (including fiedoruk.pl, ORCID, GitHub). Once you follow them, their own privacy policies apply — we have no control over how those parties process data.

07Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) you have the right, among others, to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing and object, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Poland. Because in practice we do not gather personal data identifying visitors, we usually hold no data we could provide — but you can contact us in any matter.

08Changes and date

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. Significant changes will be noted below with a date.
